Watch Me Turn 30, by Ashley N.
Question of the year: Is spending your late 20s living on South Beach and island-hopping the Caribbean as a career a) every responsible adult's fantasy or b) totally outlandish and ultimately unfulfilling for a semi-responsible adult who still places an abnormally high priority on fun? Perhaps the mere concept of what constitutes adulthood has been distorted due to my surroundings.

Through this blog, I hope to figure out what being "almost 30" really means to me...hopefully, before the big b-day next January.

Thanks goes to Holly C. for, first and foremost, agreeing to go on one of my press trips to the 'burbs of Fort Lauderdale and ultimately passing this site along to me.

DAY 156  |  June 15, 2008
My mom and I were the only two well behaved people on the glass bottomed boat. She doesn't snorkel, so I figured this would be a good alternative to get out on the water for the day. I guess I forgot it is summer vacation for all the rugrats. I was mesmerized watching two brothers no older than 7 put some slick moves on a 5-year old girl the entire time...they actually kicked some of the best game than I have seen in awhile. I'm pretty sure I would fall for a guy who exhibited his sweet karate moves and then stole my pretzels. But I may draw the line at one with bucked teeth due to obsessive thumb sucking. A girl's gotta have some standards.
