Watch Me Turn 30, by Ashley N.
Question of the year: Is spending your late 20s living on South Beach and island-hopping the Caribbean as a career a) every responsible adult's fantasy or b) totally outlandish and ultimately unfulfilling for a semi-responsible adult who still places an abnormally high priority on fun? Perhaps the mere concept of what constitutes adulthood has been distorted due to my surroundings.

Through this blog, I hope to figure out what being "almost 30" really means to me...hopefully, before the big b-day next January.

Thanks goes to Holly C. for, first and foremost, agreeing to go on one of my press trips to the 'burbs of Fort Lauderdale and ultimately passing this site along to me.

DAY 72  |  March 23, 2008

It rained for at least 24 hours straight this weekend, so this is as close as I got to any sort of Easter egg. The fact that Publix was closed didn't help the cause much either. I was so hopped up on coffee this morning at church, people were likely waiting for me to fall to the ground and start speaking in tongues or something.

I can't believe I actually have to print a retraction on this blog, but, it's necessary. The pan flute / double life story was all a hoax. I am beyond disappointed. I'm not speaking to Ruben for at least a month.

Oh yeah, saw Owen Wilson again. He was riding a bike across the street from Whole Foods in my neighborhood. I did a double take, but his schnoz doesn't lie. He had a little kid on his handlebars. My friends and I have come to the consensus it was Ryder Hudson-Robinson, or whatever that hippie ankle biter goes by.
