Watch Me Turn 30, by Ashley N.
Question of the year: Is spending your late 20s living on South Beach and island-hopping the Caribbean as a career a) every responsible adult's fantasy or b) totally outlandish and ultimately unfulfilling for a semi-responsible adult who still places an abnormally high priority on fun? Perhaps the mere concept of what constitutes adulthood has been distorted due to my surroundings.

Through this blog, I hope to figure out what being "almost 30" really means to me...hopefully, before the big b-day next January.

Thanks goes to Holly C. for, first and foremost, agreeing to go on one of my press trips to the 'burbs of Fort Lauderdale and ultimately passing this site along to me.

DAY 69  |  March 20, 2008

Ah, March Madness. The one time of the year when people in Miami semi-care about sports other than Dolphins football, a true comedy of errors, or the next Brazil-Argentina soccer matchup.

I take that back...ironically, I don't think the employees of sports bars care quite enough. Get it together Quarterdeck. How hard can it be to make sure every game is on at least one TV? Especially when there are like four games on at any given time and you have at least 60 TVs. Can we hold on the karaoke until after all the games are over? I for one prefer Dick Vitale over a bad rendition of Edge of Seventeen. And figure out how to work the remote control. It's not brain surgery.

Let's Go Mountaineers! Next game vs. Duke, at 2:10 this Saturday.
